Dr. George Russell, Movement Specialist

INSTRUCT George ART

Dr. George Russell is a teacher, bodyworker, chiropractor, and movement specialist. He is a modern dancer and a long-time student of Yoga and the Pilates and Alexander techniques. Energy medicine, guided imagery, the 12 steps, and psychotherapy all inform his approach to care.

“Approaching the body experientially helps us find solid sustainable resources for getting and staying healthy. Energetic and spiritual aspects of anatomy and cross-cultural approaches such as the chakra system enrich our sense of self and fill up our bag of tricks for approaching health and it’s opposite. I call my approach The Spirit of Anatomy because it goes beyond the objective Western idea of the body as a machine we own and takes us into the vivid reality of being our bodies. I also honor Carolyn Myss, whose seminal work on energy anatomy, The Anatomy of the Spirit, has greatly informed my life and my work.”wwwgeorgerusselldc.com
